Care Label Layout
Size: Care label width should not exceed 1 1/2". Height should not exceed 2 1/2". If the contents of the label are too long, the label must be folded in half at the center.
Languages: All care labels must have the full dress contents and care instructions translated in English, Spanish, and French. Some customers require Portuguese. Check the Customer Label and Ticketing pages for additional information.
International Laundry Care Symbols: There are 5 categories to laundering garments: Wash, Bleach, Dry, Iron, and Dry Cleaning. One option from each category must be represented on the care label. You must use the, "Do Not" option if the garment cannot be cared for by any other option in each category.
RN / CA Numbers: All care labels must have an RN number to represent the division the style is made for. All garments going into Canada must also use a CA number.
Note: Per the Federal Trade Commission, the only items on a label that can be abbreviated are "USA" and the size; e.g., Med for medium. The fiber content cannot be abbreviated; i.e.,"100% Poly" is not acceptable. The label must state "100% Polyester".
